The 8th SOFOR GIS Conference will encompass topics related to the use of GIS and other geospatial technologies in forestry and natural resource management. We welcome contributions in the following areas, as well as any related topics:

Our keynote speaker is Dr. Michael Wing who is a professional engineer and land surveyor, a water right examiner, and a faculty member in the Department of Forest Engineering, Resources & Management at Oregon State University. Dr. Wing's research interests involve GIS, GPS, and remote sensing applications, and he is co-author of the book Geographic Information Systems: Applications in Natural Resource Management.
