My nearly 25 year involvement in geospatial
technology (primarily in the South) is
filled with a gaggle of interesting personalities,
more than my share of serious and hilarous
blunders, and a few fortunate successes.
From each, I see analogous situations
that impacted our professions’s
progress up the mountain of geospatial
implementation, sometimes giving us a
boost, and sometimes slowing us down.
Our history provides important insights
into how to do even better in the future.
Using anecdotes from the past 25 years,
I will talk about the future of geospatial
technology in southern natural resource
management.
