Georgia is experiencing rapid land use
changes due to urbanization and forest
utilization practices. The Georgia Land
Use Trends (GLUT) project has mapped land
use change from the early 1970's to the
present. These data are integrated with
Georgia GAP data to identify where land
use activities are threatening critical
areas of high biodiversity and important
natural communities.
