UGA Fiber Supply Assessment Projects and Information Access

This is a review of the projects conducted in the Fiber Supply Assessment study at the Warnell School of Forest Resources, University of Georgia, and the available online information and data generated by the described projects. The discussed projects include "SAFIS/FIA data analysis", "Development of visual online inventory data retrieval systems", "Online databases and mapping systems", use of "Satellite technology for timely and accurate high-resolution inventory compilation", and "Regional scale natural resource management and policy analysis." The discussion will be structured around a presentation of the Fiber Supply Assessment web pages (http://www.growthandyield.com), which contain most of the discussed material available online and can be accessed before and after the presentation.
