SOFOR GIS 2000 Speaker
Information
Thank you for presenting a paper at the SOFOR GIS 2000 Conference. Here are the details
related to the conference.
Length of Presentation: Each speaker has 25 minutes. Please
allow time for questions within this limit.
Audio-Visual Equipment: Each presentation room will have a
slide projector, overhead projector, computer projector, laser pointer, flip chart,
podium, and microphone. If you plan to use the computer projector, you can do one of two
things:
- Send your presentation on a disk before the conference. It will be loaded onto a Gateway
computer (deadline for sending presentation is October 2)
- Bring your own laptop and cords
If you need additional audio-visual equipment or have questions, contact Melanie Baer
by September 22.
Room Information: Concurrent sessions will be held in Masters
Hall and Room K/L. Masters Hall is an auditorium that seats 400. Room K/L seats 180.
Slides, overheads, and computer presentations work well in both rooms.
Speaker Ready Room: There will be a speaker ready room set up
with a slide projector, overhead projector, and computer projector. PLEASE BE AWARE that
computer projectors in each room are different. Therefore, if you have a computer
presentation you should check your setup in the presentation room during the appropriate
times.
Speaker Testing Times: You may test your computer presentation
in the appropriate room during the following times:
- Wednesday, October 11 7:00-8:00 a.m., 12:00-1:00 p.m., 5:00-6:00 p.m.
- Thursday, October 12 7:00-8:00 a.m., 12:00-1:00 p.m.
Registration: Speakers must register for the conference for
the early fee of $245. Conference information and a registration form are available on the
conference website: www.gactr.uga.edu/conferences/2000/Oct/10/soforgis.phtml. Please
indicate on your registration form that you are a speaker for conference.
Speaker Biography: Please complete and return the biography form by September 29.
