You are invited to be an exhibitor at SOFOR GIS 2000

SOFOR GIS 2000 follows two successful conferences held in 1996 and 1998. We expect 200 professionals in forestry and related natural resource fields to attend. Exhibit times and space have been chosen to maximize your opportunity to discuss and demonstrate your products and services with conference participants. Continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks, and a reception will be held in the exhibit area.

To maintain a high quality exhibit area, exhibit spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first- served basis. To guarantee your space for this program, please send the attached application and full payment to the address listed on the registration form no later than September 21, 2000.

SOFOR GIS 2000 also offers opportunities to call special attention to your organization and products through sponsorships. Individual events can be sponsored with special recognition at that event and in the conference program (see Sponsor webpage for details).

SOFOR GIS 2000 will be an exciting event for GIS and natural resources. Don’t miss this chance to participate as an exhibitor and sponsor!

You may set up your exhibit on Tuesday, October 10 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Exhibitors may pick up their name tag (s) at the Conference Registration Desk between the hours of  5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on that Tuesday.  Please plan to dismantle your booth by 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2000.

Guidelines for Exhibits and Displays
at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education

Introduction

Exhibits and displays are frequently used to enhance the short term learning experiences at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. The following statement outlines the general guidelines to be followed for exhibits and displays.

Statement

The Georgia Center provides exhibit space at designated locations, and for posted rates, on a first come, first served basis. The need for exhibit space is identified and negotiated during the early planning stages of an educational event. The Georgia Center Exhibits Coordinator provides current exhibit information for inclusion in the marketing of the activity.

All exhibit functions must be directly related to or in support of an educational event held at the Georgia Center. The Georgia Center reserves the right to refuse space to those organizations, activities or groups deemed not appropriate to the educational or informational nature of the "host" activity.

Any activity involving an open flame or heat is prohibited.

Vendors may advertise and sell products or services in the exhibit area, but only to participants attending the educational program with which the exhibits are associated. No advertising or selling is permitted to the general public.

The Georgia Center will collect the minimum exhibit fee for each space that is set up. Full refunds will be issued for all exhibitors who cancel their exhibit registration by 4:00 p.m. five business days before the event begins. No refunds will be issued thereafter.

Exhibit rates: Georgia Center exhibit rates are based on an approved rate schedule, and are reviewed annually. An event sponsor may elect to add an additional amount to the Georgia Center exhibit fee to help offset event costs or to make a profit from the event. The Georgia Center will disperse these extra fees at the direction of the sponsor.

Receiving, Storage & Shipping: The Georgia Center does not have space for storing exhibits. Vendors should bring displays with them, or, when necessary, have items shipped no earlier than one day prior to exhibit set up. Vendors are also responsible for handling shipping of materials from the Georgia Center. The Georgia Center assumes no liability for exhibit materials that are lost or damaged during an event at the Center.
